Andy Sayers

Andy is Generation Radio's Station Manager. He has a wealth of knowledge & experience in broadcasting.  His vision is to inform  and entertain the community with quality programming.


He's also a thoroughly nice guy & we love him as our boss!

Ian Henry

Ian Henry is the soul man and the jazz funk supremo. Apart from launching the station 3 years ago, Ian hosts the 'Love Soul Show' every Monday at 7pm, 'Midwwek Soul Show' every Wednesday from 1pm and also the 'Weekend Soul Shows' every Saturday and Sunday at 10am. 

His shows can be described as being most loving, exciting, invigorating and historical just to mention a few. Ian can also sing and is a poet.

 

Ingrid Marsh

Ingrid hosts 'The Getting Your Groove Back Show' every Friday between 1 - 2pm and repeats every Wednesday from 10-11pm.

In the Live, Love and Laughter sector of the show, industry experts join her to discuss issues relating to Your Family, Your Finances, Your Figure and Your Future.

Tune in also for Mind, Body and Soul, where Ingrid looks at What's hot, What's Not and What's worth starving yourself for, in the land of uplifting books, films and experiences.

Plus, each show features true life stories of women who have overcame adversity and how they ultimately got their groove back.

Murzi

Murzi brings you 2 hours of UK /US Hip hop,  with a bit of funk and reggae flavas, every Thursday at 7pm. You can also catch him on Saturdays and Sundays at 6pm.

Expect to hear some wicked tunes, freestyles and interviews.  Send him your new hiphop/ funk/ reggae tunes if you want

Cheneen Williams

Cheneen is the soulstress of Generation Radio, easing you through your afternoon, every Sunday at 2pm with 'Neo Soul Sundays'. Taking you back in time at the top of the hour to some good old skool flavas.

A recent Journalism graduate who loves socialising, travelling, cooking, kicking back, meeting new people and pineapple chunks, Cheneen hopes to lead the way for more female presence at GR. Come on girls!


Thomas

Tom hosts the 'Easy Listening and Classical music show' every Thursday at 1pm. If you miss it, you can catch the classical hour  on Sunday at 1pm.

On the first hour of the show you will hear the best soothing tunes of the past three decades, while the second hour is dedicated to beautiful classical music since time began. You will also get to know all the news within the community which he likes very much. Tom also enjoys having a laugh and loves being a granddad. His ideal guest would be Fernando Sors.

 

 

 Dan Johns

Dan is here every week day with 'The Cafe' from 10am-1pm

Dan also hosts the 'I to the Q Show'  -including the Hip-Hop Time Machine- every Wednesday 7- 9pm. How does Dan describe his show? 'An old skool block party, years from 1978-3030, using a custom 'pimped' tardis, all the best MC's in history, Enemy of the Daleks, Cybermen & Simon Cowell, with rarities and exclusives.'

Dan has a collection of over 5000 comics, mostly Batman and even called his son Bruce after Batman.

Check out Dan's new show -'The Lounge'- every Sunday from 4pm-6pmwhere he brings you a mix bag of underground flavas from old school drum 'n' bass, rave, dubstep, chats and interviews.

 

 Pink Champagne

Pink Champagne will take you every Monday from 1-3pm and also on Fridays from 9-11pm on a musical journey that covers Neo Soul, Rare Grooves, Gospel and R & B.

She has always had a passion for music, in particular the rare groove scene. It was only a matter of time before she decided to turn her hand to the decks with her ultimate ambition to become a professional presenter. She has used her music knowledge as a platform to gain a foot in the door of the music world and has played previously on the circuit and at private parties.


 

Nadeem

Nadeem hosts 'The Alternative Hour' on Thursdays from 9-10p, also repeated on Sundays from 1-2pm

During the show, Nadeem plays music which is seldom heard on commercial radio, offering an alternative for listeners who have grown tiresome of hearing the same songs and yearn for something different.


Although focusing mainly on altenative rock & hip hop, expect to hear some different genres along the way. Nadeem describes the show 'as a mesh of my eclectic tastes'.


 Righteous P

DJ Righteous P is a woman of great style and taste in music and her selection is on point.

Join her on Tuesday’s 'Dancity Show' 7-9pm, where you will hear the best in R&B, Traditional gospel and Holy Slow Jamz, Grime and Hip-Hop, with new UK and International talent signed and unsigned, with the odd visitor popping in now and then.




 

 Pedro

Pedro hosts 'The Blender' every Wednesday 9-10pm. Expect new music from different styles and from all around the world.

'I want my show to be a platform for bands and artists that don't get the chance to be played on commercial radio stations.'

About himself he says 'I love live music and collect the tickets of all the gigs I have been to.  I'm the hairiest presenter on GR!  My dream job would be panelist on 'Mock the week.  I like basketball but it's difficult to find people to play in London...anyone? 


 

Joey Richie

Cheeky Joey provides you with a mixture of chart music (both past and present) and some lighthearted and cheeky fun. You can catch him from Monday to Friday on the 'Tea-time show' 3pm to 7pm. Listen out for Joey's half hour mashup.


Joey's been involved in various forms of entertainment most of his life, starting off as a street dancer and quickly progressing to become an established club DJ. Dabbling in TV and film, his talent knows no bounds.

Despite all this, Joey admits radio has always been his first passion and presenting on GR is 'a dream come true.' Isn't he lovely! :-)


Gordon Wedderburn

Gordon presents 'Jazz Moods' every Thursday at 10pm, the only Jazz show on Generation Radio.

The show will seek to promote and feature new and emerging talent. Gordon also says he will play all types of jazz, but will focus on contemporary and smooth Jazz. Tune in!

 

Gianinna Russo

Gianinna hosts 'The Meling Pot' on the first Sunday of every month from 12-1pm. She brings you a mix of all styles of music from all over the world, from Pop Opera and Ballard to Salsa and Mariachi, new and old Middle East and Bollywood music to Cumbia, Reggae, Reggaeton and much more. Her vision is to give access to the most unique and most popular music.


"There is a lot of expression through music. There is no cultural corner in the world that hasn't lived it and I highlight that via The Melting Pot. You can live and appreciate an extract of what the world and its diversity can offer through its music, all expressed in a 1-hour show".

 
Gianinna is also a poet, a loved and loving wife and an active volunteer in the community.



Pete Martin

Pete w
elcomes you to the 'Pleasuredome' every Saturday from 2-4pm.  He is GR's newest presenter and loves to share his passion for all types of music.

From his personal collection of 4000 CDs, he will choose the less obvious tracks, as he says himself  "so the audience don't get bored".  He's been involved with radio for more than 20 years. John Peel is his hero and that says it all!

He'll be playing rare rock and blues scanning the last 40 years. Listen out also for the 'Goth Slot' every week.  Where else can you hear Goth music?

His show is also repeated on Tuesdays from 9-11pm.




 

Andi & Si

Join Andi & Si every Sunday from 2 to 4pm for 'The Andi & Si Show'. They will bring you a two-hour mix of indie tunes and witty banter.

 

 

 Steevo

One of the latest members of GR, Steevo can be heard every Friday  7-9pm playing Salsa in 'The SalsaSabro' Sessions'. You can also hear Latin beats such as Bachata, Merengue, Cha Cha Cha, Reggaeton, Latin Jazz and even Latin Hip Hop

Steeevo says the moment he discovered Salsa:  "my whole world was turned inside out..here is a social scene where all cultures and all ages come together under one roof for one reason, to dance & have a great time.  No Stress! Just pure good vibes is what the salsa scene is all about".


He is also a resident DJ for Salsa Brisa at The Prestigious Bulls Head Hotel in Chislehurst every Tuesday night and can also be seen dancing away most Thursday nights at Latin Swing -Wessex House in Clapham Junction.

Also catch Steevo on Tuesdays at 1pm and Saturdays at 8pm.




Mattymoo

Come and drop into 'Dr Mattymoo's new music surgery' as he serves two hours of completely new electro/Indie tunes and chat to tantalise the eardrums every Saturday between Midday - 2pm.

Featuring music news, reviews, anecdotes, recommended gigs, interviews and opinions on the whats happening music wise right now. Also planning on squeezing the odd bit of comedy in too.


Dr Mattymoo is also a musician/songwriter, producer and label owner too (Usurp-records.com). Having been to hundreds of gigs and loads of festivals he has experienced music from every angle. He's even played in Japan...twice! He is currently working on three music projects and will give blog style updates on that.
