Andy is Generation Radio's Station Manager. He has a wealth of knowledge & experience in broadcasting.  His vision is to inform  and entertain the community with quality programming.
You catch Andy's Breakfast weekdays from 7-10am


He's also a thoroughly nice guy & we love him as our boss!

Ian Henry

Ian Henry is the soul man and the jazz funk supremo. Apart from launching the station 5 years ago, Ian hosts the 'Love Soul Show' every Monday at 7pm, 'Midwwek Soul Show' every Wednesday from 1pm and also the 3 hour  'Weekend Soul Shows' every Saturday and Sunday at 9am . 

His shows can be described as being most loving, exciting, invigorating and historical just to mention a few. Ian can also sing and is a poet.

Murzi

Murzi brings you 2 hours of UK /US Hip hop,  with a bit of funk and reggae flavas, every Thursday at 7pm. You can also catch him on Saturdays at 6pm.

Expect to hear some wicked tunes, freestyles and interviews.  Send him your new hiphop/ funk/ reggae tunes if you want

Cheneen Williams

Cheneen is the soulstress of Generation Radio, easing you through your afternoon, every Sunday at 2pm with 'Neo Soul Sundays'. Taking you back in time at the top of the hour to some good old skool flavas.

A recent Journalism graduate who loves socialising, travelling, cooking, kicking back, meeting new people and pineapple chunks, Cheneen hopes to lead the way for more female presence at GR. Come on girls!

Currently Cheneee's not on air but she will be back real soon


Thomas

Tom hosts the 'Easy Listening and Classical music show' every Thursday at 1pm. If you miss it, you can catch the classical hour  on Wednesday at 9pm.

On the first hour of the show you will hear the best soothing tunes of the past three decades, while the second hour is dedicated to beautiful classical music since time began. You will also get to know all the news within the community which he likes very much. Tom also enjoys having a laugh and loves being a granddad. His ideal guest would be Fernando Sors.

 

 

 Dan Johns

Dan is here every week day with 'The Cafe' from 10am-1pm

Dan also hosts the 'I to the Q Show'  -including the Hip-Hop Time Machine- every Tuesday 7- 9pm. How does Dan describe his show? 'An old skool block party, years from 1978-3030, using a custom 'pimped' tardis, all the best MC's in history, Enemy of the Daleks, Cybermen & Simon Cowell, with rarities and exclusives.'

Dan has a collection of over 5000 comics, mostly Batman and even called his son Bruce after Batman.

 

 Pink Champagne

Pink Champagne will take you every Monday from 1-3pm and also on Fridays from 7-9pm on a musical journey that covers Neo Soul, Rare Grooves, Gospel and R & B.

She has always had a passion for music, in particular the rare groove scene. It was only a matter of time before she decided to turn her hand to the decks with her ultimate ambition to become a professional presenter. She has used her music knowledge as a platform to gain a foot in the door of the music world and has played previously on the circuit and at private parties.


 

Nadeem

Nadeem hosts 'The Alternative Show' on Thursdays from 9-11pm, also repeated on Sundays from 3-5pm

During the show, Nadeem plays music which is seldom heard on commercial radio, offering an alternative for listeners who have grown tiresome of hearing the same songs and yearn for something different.


Although focusing mainly on altenative rock & hip hop, expect to hear some different genres along the way. Nadeem describes the show 'as a mesh of my eclectic tastes'.



 

 Pedro

Pedro hosts 'The Blender' every Wednesday 9-10pm. Expect new music from different styles and from all around the world.

'I want my show to be a platform for bands and artists that don't get the chance to be played on commercial radio stations.'

About himself he says 'I love live music and collect the tickets of all the gigs I have been to.  I'm the hairiest presenter on GR!  My dream job would be panelist on 'Mock the week.  I like basketball but it's difficult to find people to play in London...anyone?

Gordon Wedderburn

Gordon presents 'Jazz Moods' every Wednesday at 7pm & also on Sunday from 1pm, the only Jazz show on Generation Radio.

The show will seek to promote and feature new and emerging talent. Gordon also says he will play all types of jazz, but will focus on contemporary and smooth Jazz. Tune in!



Pete Martin

Pete w
elcomes you to the 'Pleasuredome' every Saturday from 2-4pm.  He is GR's newest presenter and loves to share his passion for all types of music.

From his personal collection of 4000 CDs, he will choose the less obvious tracks, as he says himself  "so the audience don't get bored".  He's been involved with radio for more than 20 years. John Peel is his hero and that says it all!

He'll be playing rare rock and blues scanning the last 40 years. Listen out also for the 'Goth Slot' every week.  Where else can you hear Goth music?

His show is also repeated on Wednesday from 9-11pm.




 


 
The Night Express  

Craig Joins Generation after working at RTM in London BCB in Bradford Phoenix in Brentwood and a number of other stations...And yes its is the Brentwood where that dreadful only way is Essex prog is made and no Craig doesn't have a fake tan or any Jewellery in certain Places!

Night Express is on
Sunday from 6pm till Ten pm and includes a feature artist,The Show stopper and to close the show half an hour of Northern Soul in Out on the floor,In between you may here Springsteen Chic and even some Ella Fitzgerald...Who knows you will if you listen from 6pm Sunday.  


The Kenjoff Show

Join Simon every Sunday from 5-6pm for 'Kenjoff''. He will bring you an hour mix of indie tunes and witty banter.

 

 

 Steevo

One of the latest members of GR, Steevo can be heard every Saturday  8-10pm playing Salsa in 'The SalsaSabro' Sessions'. You can also hear Latin beats such as Bachata, Merengue, Cha Cha Cha, Reggaeton, Latin Jazz and even Latin Hip Hop
Also catch Steevo on Tuesdays from 1pm

Steevo says the moment he discovered Salsa:  "my whole world was turned inside out..here is a social scene where all cultures and all ages come together under one roof for one reason, to dance & have a great time.  No Stress! Just pure good vibes is what the salsa scene is all about".

He is also a resident at The Two Brewers in Clapham, on the Salsa night every Wednesday.  Steevo is also part of the Lets Go Salsa Group @ The Langthorne In Stratford Broadway every Thursday.
