The
Brixton Pound is a new scheme to support local shops and encourage
local trade. More than 80% of the money spent in a large chain retailer
leaves the area almost immediately. You can help to maintain the
diversity of the Brixton high street and preventing it becoming just
another ‘clone town’. The Brixton Pound can be used alongside the Pound
Sterling at participating local independent shops. Check www.brixtonpound.org for a full list and how to get your Brixton Pounds.
